We're #3!!!!!!

Hello all!

I know that I said another post would happen the weekend of the 20th, but time got away from me. It is only a little over a month until I leave to go on my 3 week European trip & I still have yet to get the hotel for my 4 night stay in Scotland! I also have yet to buy the train tickets & day trip packages for my vacation as well. The good news is that I finally received in the mail my brand new laptop computer! Unfortunately, as I type this, I am typing in the dark because both lights in my room went out tonight & there are no spare light bulbs. I took the following picture using "night vision" on my camera!

As for the headline above, I am pleased to say that for the first time in over 2 years, New Line Cinema has released a movie that has made more than $25 million in it's first 3 days!! "Hairspray" made $27 million this past weekend and opened up at number 3 at the box office. I hope the movie has good legs and can go on to make a profit for the studio. It was summer of 2005 when New Line last had a movie make more than $55 million at the box office & it looks like "Hairspray might make that by the end of next weekend!
Well, I am going to call it a night. I will be back to update this the weekend of August 10th. I will give updates on my vacation, how "Hairspray" did & how our next release "Rush Hour 3" did on it's opening weekend (8/10).

The 4th of July

Alright!

I said I would post again on the 4th of July and give an update of what has happened recently.

Well, today was pretty much a non-event. The only thing of consequence I did was go grocery shopping! Other than that I pretty much lounged about the apartment, started reading a new book & re-watched "Clerks 2" with my bro. As for the actual "July 4th" activities, we went to the roof when we heard fireworks going off, but all we saw were people on the roofs of other apartments watching the fireworks! Gotta love LA!

On the topic of my upcoming September trip, I recently purchased a laptop computer to make it easier to update this blog while on vacation & post pictures too. I am on week 3 of learning french, and I think I already know about as much french as I know Spanish (which is not a lot, but I can survive on it). I am currently looking into what to do during the french portion of my trip, which could be between 4-7 days depending on how the rest of my trip shakes up.
I will probably post another entry around the time my company releases "Hairspray." I am very curious to see how that will end up. I (for sthe sake of the company) hope it kicks ass and make big $$. So, until the weekend of July 20th - see ya!
